ARTIST’S STATEMENT

Art and Design unit – by Hiroki MIYAZAKI and Reiko ASAO.
We will expand various projects that verify the primordial and heuristic method of making something.
I will do new “PIXEL WORKS” project at Gyeonggi.
“PIXEL WORKS” is the project which transforms 1/1 scale real landscapes into pixel images on PC or TV(My portfolio contains details of “PIXEL WORKS”)
The pile of “PIXEL WORKS” isone of the multilayered inquiries of what the “IMAGE”- the materials of our thought and imagination – is.
And “PIXEL WORKS” also can be said a trial on the extended line of Divisionism from Seurat to Mondrian – the technique based on the use of small, primary-colored dots.
The series of “PIXEL WORKS” pursue universal, radical theme of Art, that is the inquiry for the eyes toward something and perceiving it visually, with the issue in our time.
The series of “PIXEL WORKS” can expand the region of Art.
